All is dark, no life, only death.
The picture of the original man in
this picture, where found at this
site: Andrew Hodges Homepage
It is used with permission.
The rest of the picture is a combo
of my pictures and digital handwork.
I’ve experienced that some users
may have dark screens. Here is a
link to a brighter version of the

Thats awesome. Theres something abuot that eye and ear that just doesnt seem right to me. However, the rest of this piece, is very well done. Good work.
amazing foreground, backround, everything. the rock is just amazing! the figure is just....wow. he looks so sad. i like the sky, it just has something to it i really like. you have a very good eye for lighting. wowies.
Very nice. I love the background, but I do have a couple of suggestions. First off, that rock shines out like a bright, brilliant, powerful beacon screaming "Here I am! I am a rock! Look at me!" It might help to give it a similar, muted red color so it blended in a bit more, and didn't distract the viewer from the subject. Second, the face. The outlines are much too heavy, the face looks thouroughly flat, and 2-dimensional. I'd lose the outlining on the lips totally, and ease up on the thick eyebrows. Other than that, it looks great. Keep up the good work!

A Policeman came around the corner, he told me I had broke the law. Then the donkey kicked him in the kneecap and he fell down and broke his jaw!
the detail on the trees is brilliant, but the red figure in the foreground leaves me wondering for some reason. other than that, the darkness in this piece is somewhat satisfying.
one question, is that a bone or a stick in the character's hand?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!

I won't do anything with the eyebrows, because thinner and less marked eyebrows look more feminine.... And he is a man!
I'm going to make the lines around his lips to fit the color on the lips a bit more though.
Thank you for the comment!
